Ride with me through Ophir Pass in Colorado

The Ride

To cross the mountains behind Telluride, Colorado, there are two mountain passes you can take: Black Bear Pass and Ophir Pass. Since I was riding with an injured ankle, I decided to avoid the technical Black Bear Pass and go for the Ophir Pass. Later, I learned that the Black Bear Pass is a one-way pass only (going down into Telluride) so I wouldn't have been able to ride this pass the way I wanted to anyway. Ophir Pass was supposedly an easier pass, but with lots of loose rock and steep drops, it wasn't quite a beginners pass either! On top of that, riding in first gear caused my engine to overheat too... oops!
