The ride
In this experience you are coming along as we ride the 'parade'! This is the beginning of Stage 6 of the Kalahari rally, the final stage. All the riders and vehicles that are still in the rally are escroted by a police escort for the first couple of kilometers. This way we can all safely ride out of the town Mahikeng to the startline of the stage. I can't remember the exact route as I was too excited about riding in such a big group of competitors. You'll see lots of other riders around me, the majority on KTMs and Husqvarna's, so I'm a bit of the odd duck here with my little Honda CRF250L. Nevertheless, I am taking Savannah to the starting line of this stage and ultimately, to the finish line of the rally!
